Hello to all our Golf Club friends. At long last, the powers that be have allowed us to do business again. We were given little notice and no direction from the authorities, so for the remainder of June we will be running a limited schedule and menu. Hours of Operation: 1100 till 2200 (or until customers leave). Menu Monday thru Friday : Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers and various savoury sausages cooked to order on the BBQ grill with assorted garnish. Menu Weekend: Steak, Salmon & Pork chops BBQ served with mixed salad . The weekday menu is also available as above. The main kitchen isn't open we will not be able to offer the traditional sides and other dishes. Prices will be adjusted to reflect the changes. While the business has been shutdown we decided to enter into a partnership with Shane Ruddle, a name anyone involved with golf in Pattaya is familiar with. On July 1st Shane's golf company, which consists of the Outback Golf Bar, the Pattaya Amateur Golf Series, Birdie Thailand Handicapping Software, Pattaya Discount Golf Group & TAT licenced Birdie Golf Tours and his partners will become the owners of TGC. The hope is that both the golf and bar/restaurant schedule will return to normal sometime around early to mid-July. Shane's experience and contacts in the Pattaya golf community should bring some exciting new options for TGC golfers. Dale and Meow will continue on as host and hostess. I will help or assist as long as necessary to ensure a smooth transition. This decision was not made lightly by the current team of owners. We all love TGC and did not want it to close. However, we weren't in a position to prop the business up financially, for what is probably going to be a difficult period for small businesses depending almost s0lely on ex-pats. Shane's connections with a huge portion of the local golf community will allow TGC to tap into, and partner with, these other groups to remain a viable golf outlet in the downtown Pattaya area.
So please come down and see us the rest of June. By all means, keep your eyes and ears open in July for what we hope will be a new and exciting time for TGC, our customers and our dedicated, loyal golfers. Thanks and best of luck to Shane, Dale and Meow moving forward, Thanks personally from myself to Keith Worboys and Gavin Wright for backing us up in a time of need. I can never thank Steve Snelgrove and Dale Shier enough for their assistance immediately after Steve Ellison's untimely death. They have been instrumental ever since. Whether affiliated with it, or just as regular customers, TGC will always be our local in Pattaya. Thank you for being such loyal customers over the past 12 years and I'm sure you'll continue to support TGC going forward. John McHugh
