There is a Singha tournament at Green Valley this week. Monday is a qualifying event for Thursday. Our alternative venue Laem Chabang at the low season rate of 2000 Bht for PSC members. As expected, the course presented in great nick. We played B & C; A was closed. Many of the locals were there as the value cannot be denied. A full van of happy punters. Treasure Hill for Tuesday. Nearly a full van, overcast weather with a slight breeze, tough course where no-one beat their handicap. Its really a course that you are forced to pick a line to play and are penalized it the shot does not come off. Zed Beloglavic 33 points off 17 Captain 32 points Bob Paine Project Smile near pin, at presentation I asked him if he made the putt? ..for the beer from the putt for a birdie. He said “which putt” ha ha
Thursday at Eastern Star. Really good rates and fine weather. Not until we got to the first green did we find out the greens were sanded. They played ok, it was just the look that made you think about how hard to hit the ball. After a couple of 5 footers coming g back did we finally decide the sand had little influence on speed. two locals with 33 points, Zed Beloglavic and Steve Sweeney Taka Project Smile near pin
Finished off the week at Parichat Links. For those abroad all the querky parts of the course have been sorted out. The greens were sanded last week but had little influence on the result of putts, you still had a fair bit of work to do with speed and line. An enjoyable day with the van full. All day was overcast with a little breeze and threatening clouds. Teddy JPN 35 points off 17 Captain 34 points Project Smile near pin Brett Todd USA made the putt
