Great start to the week. Green Valley Monday with a couple of arrivals over the weekend. Welcome to Ian Brimble (recovering from knee replacement and wanting handicap adjustment) and Mike Omiya. The weather for the day a little warm and 10 minutes after our shower for the last group it rained, great management. The course was in good order as the scores reflect. Blake Hanna CAN 43 points off 20 JP Thomas THA 41 points off 20 and two guys with 40points for equal 3rd Peter Thomas UK and Gary Lawson AUS Project Smile near pin Dave Ferris, missed the putt
An eleven o’clock tee at Pattana Tuesday. I suppose you could say a warm up for the Ally Ellison team monthly medal next week. The weather perfect again. Maybe even warmish as the monitor lizards were all swimming. Played A & B in that order. The only comment that was not positive was the course has a few trees in the middle of the fairway much the same as Treasure Hill. The winner was not affected by the setup of the course. Bill Meader US 43 points off 14 (will not be that handicap next week, for sure) Mike Omiya US 36 points off 6, a real handicap, played well and Project Smile near pin Herbert Stel NED 34 points off 18
11.00 o’clock tee time at Greenwood Thursday. We procrastinated from the van to the first tee and consequently allowed a 5 ball JPN hit off before us which turned a 2 hour nine hole into 3 hours. The course played really tight, the fairways and greens were mown short which meant every shot had to be nipped clean, tough for some, yes me. The greens were dry, hard and fast. The European side of Milne and Wood defeated the US side of Dietz and Brimble in the local derby. Peter Milne 40 points off 6 two guys with 35 points Dietz and Hanna Project Smile near pin Mike Omiya US and sank the putt

Finished the week with fine weather at Parichat links with fine weather. There was a little wind about which caused some issues with club selection. But obviously not for our winner. I thought the greens were slower than usual but were still difficult to read especially if you finished above the hole. Blake Hanna CAN 46 points off 24 Robbie Taylor AUS 39 points off 13 and two guys with 38 points, Peter Milne and Bob Catlow Project Smile winner Ken Grimes, missed the putt
