Great start to the week with perfect weather. Our normal Monday venue Green Valley with still some of visitors in town. A few of the locals away in Vietnam having a look at a Greg Norman course. GV was a little dry, looks like it could do with some rainfall, the greens were hard and fast and consequently no one in the field beat their handicap. three guys with 34 points, Ian Brimble, Troy Haack and Peter Le Noury who also picked up the Project Smile near pin, probably made the putt, it was really close.
Warm weather Tuesday at Khao Kheow. First day of holiday for Nick Fazakerley especially considering how cold is was at home in Gernsey. Welcome. We played C and B in that order; the course is starting to dry out. The greens were hard and fast and from time to time difficult to read. The scores reflected the course difficulty not forgetting to mention we played the yellow tee just in front of the blue. Plenty of scores in the 20’s. Peter Milne 35 points off 6, Project Smile near pin, flying home tomorrow, thanks for your support over the last couple of weeks, really appreciated. Dan Dietz 34 points off 11 two guys with 31 points, Ian Brimble US CAN UK and Nick Hanscombe UK

Hot and windy at Treasure Hill Thursday. They were putting plenty of water on the course and have kept most or the course in good order. Like a fortnight ago the greens were hard and fast. Finished the week at Pattana. The management of the Golf Club scheduled the Monthly Medal as a best ball two-man event. All competition funds together with some donations went towards funding Ally Ellison’s education. The prizes for the day were all donated goods and services.
Paul Kidder shot some snaps and will post on the club website or fb. We had a late start at 11.30, and with a field of 68 plus starting with two tees we finished about 5.30pm. No rain for the day and quite warm. Some very good scores were turned in, the event worked well. I think the field was happy. The Golf Club held the presentation about 8pm and provided food to finish the day off. winna winna chicken dinner Kyle Roadley (Rochie) and Gavin Perfect net 58 Technical prizes, near pins B7 Dale Shier, B3 Bob Newell, C2 Gary Emmett, C7 Sugar Robinson
