TGC Golf Competition results for week ending May 24th
Small number for Monday at Green Valley, just the van and a handful of locals. The course played well although is still dry and looking for rain. With these numbers and very few customers there were no hold ups and the van guys completed the 18 holes just over three hours. Upon arriving back at the bar, we were greeted by Dale. Welcome back Dale. Tierry Danzos FRA 41 points off 20 two guys with 38 points Richie McGhee AUS off 2 and Chris Evans AUS off 10 The Project Smile near pin was won by Ben Herbert US, missed the putt
After being washed out last Thursday, Tuesday at Pattana was just terrific. The presentation of the course was spot on. Rainy season is with us, Pattana had heavy rain Monday but Tuesday just hot, and very hot. The guys who had big nights prior to playing were looking poorly on the second nine. C and A was the order of play, the results went to the best players in the field. Both had 37 points, Ben Herbert US off 7, also picked up the near pin and Chris Evans AUS off 10
Greenwood Thursday, a great venue and price for low season. Just a dozen played. Played C and B, well presented and green. They must be getting more than their share of rainfall. Obviously, the greens running true. Dale Shier GB 45 points from 18 Darren Stanton AUS 42 off 15
Friday Khao Kheow, what a way to finish the week. One van for what I think as the best design in the Provence. Always play well although one would have thought we would have seen better scores on the podium. Lee Short SA 37 points, working in Aus and makes Pattaya his destination for leave, just a six-hour flight from Perth. Going home on the weekend with his mate Louis, thanks for your support Roydon Allnutt 35 points and not to be forgotten, the Project Smile near pin Rob Lea
