TGC Golf Competition results for week ending July 19th
The trip to Green Valley is taking a little longer. For all those abroad reading these notes the work on 36 is still “work in progress” although the overpass where we turn right appears close to finished.
Green Valley is in desperate need of rain. The fairways and greens are patchy. Even the Scottish Open Sunday night looked greener than Thailand. A few locals were not sighted Monday, a few away I think. Nick Handscombe UK 38 points off 13 and the Project Smile near pin and skiting over the cricket win against NZ Mike Omiya US 37 points off 8
Another dry course at Pattavia Century Tuesday. The greens are still a battle. Some of the pins were placed at the front of the green therefore making it difficult to stay under the hole. This track is difficult and just playing to your handicap or close got you on the podium. Bob Catlow AUS 36 points off 18 with a couple of Mouse’s borrowed woods two guys with 35 points Gerald Matthews AUS and Zed Beloglavic AUS
Two vans Thursday for Treasure Hill. I think the green keepers who set up the tees are not happy. For the majority of tees, the white and yellow were together about ten metres in front of the blue. The pleasing note is sprinklers were in action. The course played tough and as mentioned previously the trees have out grown the course.
Absent from the list this morning was Pierre and Chicka Smith who is in town for his birthday. He has been away for a few days with McQ and Dale Shier. Gerald Cassidy AUS 39 points off 9 Nick Handscombe 38 points off 13 Mike Omiya US 34 points off 9 Project Smile near pin Chris Delamare, missed the putt ..just notice all these guys are long hitters

The end of the week, headed off to Silky Oak. The greens are still slow but the two groups still had a good day out. Friday night coming home the road works probably delayed the van for nearly an hour. Still, no rain and back to watch the AFL and Open. Gerald Cassidy AUS 39 Points off 9, the same as the previous day two locals with 36, Kris K and Nick Handscombe Project Smile near pin Gerald Matthews, missed the putt
